A Signature dessert of my village.
Kheer-Lapsi is not just a dessert but a comfort food that brings joy and warmth, making it the most beloved choice in Rural North Indian homes which is connecting to the memories of simpler times. The main ingredients of lapsi is wheat flour, jaggery and water cooked in a clay pot over chulha and Kheer is a perfect blend of kanki rice and milk. Slow cooking in a clay pot is an experience that connects us to nature and tradition, turning a simple dessert into a treat for the soul. Kheer-Lapsi is often prepared during full moon (Purnima) and for harvest celebrations and offered as Prasad, It is a dish that symbolizes traditional abundance and gratitude.
